Cozy Star is a pieced quilt pattern from Mountainpeek Creations™, designed by Anna-Marie McNeely. Theme fabric or fussy-cut 4½” panel squares sit at the heart of star blocks built from half square triangles, with setting and corner triangles turning the layout on point and a piano key border pulling in all the prints. The pattern is labelled an intermediate pieced quilt and all three sizes finish square.

  • Throw — 66½” x 66½” (13 theme squares, (13) ¼ yd prints)
  • Double — 84½” x 84½” (25 theme squares, (13) ½ yd prints)
  • Queen — 102½” x 102½” (41 theme squares, (21) ⅓ yd prints)

Fabric requirements

  • Theme fabric — ⅜ yd, ⅔ yd or 1¼ yds, or fussy-cut 4½” panel squares
  • Center square background — ½ yd, ⅞ yd or 1⅓ yds
  • Star points — ⅞ yd, 1¼ yds or 2⅛ yds
  • Setting and corner triangles — ⅞ yd, 1⅛ yds or 1½ yds
  • Inner border — ½ yd, ⅔ yd or 1 yd
  • Binding — ⅝, ¾ or 1 yd; backing — 4⅛, 7¾ or 9¼ yds
  • Batting — twin, double or king
