Binding Specifications

This foot produces a finished double-fold binding width of 1/4 inch (approx. 6 mm) regardless of the input method used.

Option 1 — Raw-Edge (Unfolded) Bias Strips:

• Feed a flat strip into the main funnel scroll; the foot automatically folds both raw edges inward and rolls the binding over the fabric edge
• Cut width: 15/16” for crisp fabrics (chambray, gingham, etc.); up to 1” for softer or stretchy materials

Option 2 — Pre-Folded Commercial Bias Tape:

• Accepts commercial bias tape Sizes No. 1 through No. 5 (1/4” to 1/2” widths)
• Slide pre-folded tape directly into one of the four guide slots on the side of the cone — top slots for narrow sizes (1–2), middle/lower slots for wider sizes (3–5)
• The foot folds the tape snugly over the raw edge for a uniform 1/4” finished border
